It is pretty easy to configure the modem on OpenSolaris. I am using bulild 89, and the usbsacm driver is there in it , if you are using some lower build, you can get the package from http://www.opensolaris.org/os/project/wwan/ and install it. Plug the usb modem and you will find the device detected in /dev/usb/ and an entry in /dev/term/. All these steps are well described on the above mentioned project page. The first update to the 0.7 release is now available. This update brings in the latest development OpenSolaris build 93 and updates to KDE 3.5.9 among other changes, bugfixes.
